Hi, everyone, my name is Yang Ding. In case you don't know how to pronounce it, try "Young Dean". I am from P.R China, born and bred in Xinyang City, Henan Province. Chinese people like to be called with family name in front of given name. Thus, you can also call me "Ding, Yang"( in Chinese). I came to Penn State in Fall 2005 to pursue my PhD? degree in the Computer Science and Engineering department. Before that, I got my bachelor degree from the Computer Science Department in Peking University (Beijing, China) in 2002. I also received the Master of Science degree from the Singapore-MIT Alliance. I have been working in National University of Singapore before coming to the states.
